Posizione:

We are looking for an
Engineering Director for our Technology Innovation Department. The Engineering Director reports to the Chief of Technology Innovation Innovation, the role will be located in Pescara (Italy).

The
Engineering Director is responsible for:

Unit Leadership. Leads the engineering unit. Manages all elements of activities including people (staffing need, recruiting process. performance assessment, work plan, job assignment definition, developmental plans etc.), operational budget, quality programs management, safety program management etc.
Engineering Program Leadership. Is responsible for setting the strategic vision for his area of responsibility, defining the strategy to achieve the vision, identifying and putting in place the enabling capabilities and organization intervention.

More specifically:

Category Engineering. This includes the leadership for the design, construction and start-up of all new production lines or modifications of existing lines to enable the delivery of the Innovation and Saving program for Baby Care, Fem Care and Adult Care Categories. Has the responsibility to deliver technology solutions that enable Fater innovation program at the lowest possible investments and fastest possible timings.
Building & Utilities. This includes the leadership for the design, construction and start-up of all engineering activities for Fater plants (Pescara for paper, Campochiaro, Gebze and Porto for F&HC) that relate to the building (e.g civil work, safety, legal compliances) and Utilities (energy, water etc.).
Corporate Engineering. This includes leadership for all Engineering activities that go across Paper and F&HC divisions, such as Industry 4.0 (Digital Engineering, Modeling & Simulation, Automation), capital management, mechanic and electric design etc.

Categories in scope are

Baby Care. This includes all products in the Pampers Franchise, such as diapers and wipes, in all forms and variants.
Feminine Care. This includes all products in Lines Franchise, such as feminine pads, panty liners and tampons.
Adult Care. This includes all products in Lines Specialist franchises, such as incontinent diapers in all forms, wipes, bed pads, etc.

We are looking for a person with robust leadership skills, in all aspects:

Envisioning (ability to set the vision for Fater Engineering), Engage (ability to get relevant stakeholders to embrace the vision), Energise (ability to energize the organization), Enable (ability to put in place the required technical capabilities and people/organizational interventions), Execute (ability to turn the vision in reality).

Entrepreneurship. We need a person that is able to take ownership of the business and act as an entrepreneur, with the obsession to stay ahead of the competition. We need a sense of business, pragmatism, the ability to tap into external resources and networks, the ability to balance technical rigour and discipline with speed to market, and a sense of financial scarcity.
Passion for winning. We need a person that has the desire to achieve and a proven ability to do that. We want Speed and Low-Cost Solutions as the way to think and operate. We want engineering solutions that fuel Fater Innovation program and create a Point of Difference vs. Competition.
Technical Background. We need a person with a very solid Design Engineering background in an industry with high content of mechanics/electric engineering. Experience in automation or automated intralogistics or modelling & digital engineering is highly preferred.

Skills & experience:

10+ years' experience as a technology leader and people manager in a manufacturing / technical / automation environment is required, with a core experience in Engineering Design.
Fluent in written and spoken English and Italian, excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex. technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences.
