Job Description Summary:

The System Test Leader is an exciting opportunity to drive the planning and execution of the testing campaign of several propulsion system demonstration vehicles.

The System Test Leader will join the AMBER Systems team within the Advanced Technology Operations section.

AMBER is the new hybrid-electric technology demonstration program that will integrate the Catalyst engine with electrical power from fuel cells.


Essential Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and coordination of testing and demonstration activities
  • Define the tests allocated to each demonstrator to achieve the program demonstration objectives
  • Ensure the test vehicles, have the relevant level of instrumentation for the required test activities and these are sufficient to achieve the program's objectives
  • Work with the model and evaluation engineering areas to coordinate all aspects of demo vehicles configuration and test data validation and evaluation
  • Work with the AMBER Systems organization to ensure the program meets the execution and technical objectives defined on time and budget
  • Contribute to the definition and completeness of the requirements for the program and system specification
  • Contribute to the technologies and maturation roadmap of AMBER,
  • Lead and support technical and program reviews
  • Present the results and findings to wide audiences from technical experts to executive leadership
  • Ensure compliance with best practices and processes
  • Ensure proper documentation of all work

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Significant experience on planning and execution of testing activities of gas turbine engines
  • Significant experience on engine instrumentation and testing procedures
  • Experience on electrical systems testing and validation
  • Experience in Product Development of complex products/systems in very early phases from conceptual level through New Product Introduction phase
  • Familiarity with Research and Technology development processes
  • Master's Degree in Engineering from an accredited University
  • Fluency in English
  • Work Visa, according to local regulation, is required

  • Experience in different gas turbine modules/disciplines and systems engineering
  • Passionate about Aviation products and innovation
  • Practical knowledge of sustainabilitydriven technologies for aviation (hybridelectric systems, Hydrogen, SAF,)
  • Can do attitude capable to manage uncertainty and changing environments
