At Amazon Business we are reinventing procurement for Public Sector customers (Government, Education, NonProfit).


Amazon Business - our B2B marketplace - gives customers the well-known Amazon pricing, selection and convenience, with features designed for businesses of all sizes and types.

We build business solutions to discover, research, and purchase products from a competitive marketplace with a vast selection, across multiple platforms and regions, with an increasing range of features and integrations with multiple procurement systems.

Since our launch in Italy, we have built a sizable customer base, ranging from startups to multinationals in a wide range of industries, including private sector, nonprofit, education and governmental organizations.

Our next challenge is to expand our presence in the Public Sector space.

To do this, we are recruiting the best talents to make this vision a reality in Italy and across the globe.


As an Account Manager Public Sector, you will design and execute a strategy to onboard and grow Public Sector customers in Italy, ultimately supporting their innovation in the procurement and digitalization space.

You will influence decision makers, with the objective to include Amazon Business as a key component of their purchasing strategies.

You will also be responsible for forecasting, managing a customer pipeline, and implementing sales strategies to identify prospects, acquire them, expand them and ultimately become a trusted business partner.

Key job responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to grow a Public Sector sales territory, delivering weekly/monthly/yearly targets
  • Identify Public Sector customers' requirements, and voice them internally to ensure our product roadmap support their needs while unlocking the full entitlement
  • Drive and accelerate Public Sector spend on Amazon Business, by understanding customers' needs and advising them on how Amazon Business can support them
  • Audit a sales territory performance, understanding key metrics, tracking their evolution, and adjusting the sales strategy to accelerate growth
  • Support internal weekly/monthly/quarterly business reviews, and drive external Customer Business Reviews to grow relationship with key customers
  • Identify opportunities to optimize our internal and external mechanisms, driving growth for both our customers and people
Milan, MI, ITA

  • Expert use of Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce;
  • Experience in a fastpaced and resultsoriented environment with significant ambiguity (e.g. a highgrowth business, toptier consultancy) with a track record of successes;
  • Knowledge of Business-ToBusiness (B2B) sales;
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders in private or public organizations (including Education, Nonprofit, Governmental customers);
  • Expertise in Procurement;
  • Understanding of public sector regulation and requirements in Italy;
  • Proven ability to influence others to achieve outstanding results, interacting with senior executives and to develop strong and collaborative working relationships.
