We are searching for a talented individual to join our Company as a Finance Manager for the Eataly London store. This position will be based in our store in London (Liverpool Street).**The aim of the Finance Manager is to provide strategic and financial guidance to ensure that the Company's financial commitments are met and develop all necessary policies and procedures to ensure the sound financial management and control of the business.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Contribute to the achievement of the company's business objectives by developing and providing advice and guidance on financial strategy
Develop and control the company's annual operating budget to ensure that financial targets are met, and statutory regulations complied with
Provide financial analysis and insight to optimize financial results of the operations, guiding managers and team members to achieve objectives
Oversee the preparation of the company's financial accounts to ensure that these are presented accurately and on time
Produce accurate forecasts of costs and revenues for the operations
Identify and implement appropriate accounting system for the operations
Produce the monthly management accounts and year end accounts closed monthly
Provide analytical support to identify cost saving and productivity opportunities
Direct and control the team to ensure that they are appropriately motivated and developed and so that they carry out their responsibilities to the required standard
Develop and implement an internal audit programme to ensure that the company complies with financial procedures and regulations
Develop and maintain all necessary systems, policies and procedures to ensure effective and efficient financial management within the company
Process UK and international payments, taking the lead on UK policies and maintaining all aspects of HMRC
Process VAT returns, prepare bank reconciliations and analyse finance performance
Review supplier statements and input systems for accuracy and efficiency of ordering
Monitor external contracts and services provided by suppliers to ensure that these are operating effectively and provide the best value to the company
Carry out actions to ensure the company meets financial and legal obligations
Perform other tasks as needed in pursuit of the achievement of business goals

Who you are

Your special ingredients are your passion for retail & food services: this role will be based in our London store, in close cooperation with the Operations team, in a dynamic work environment
Significant experience working as a Finance Manager and leading a team is mandatory
Solid people management skills, ability to set objectives, motivate and monitor progress
Strong business acumen and analytical skills in a complex, highvolume environment
Able to set priorities and multitask while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines
Excellent communications skills, including during tough negotiations
Ability to stand firm on essential accounting and fiscal compliance needs
Ability to thrive as part of a team with diverse experience, skills, and objectives
Willingness to be flexible and support multiple teams
Bachelor's degree: MBA or equivalent experience preferred
Right to work in the UK
Excellent English skills, both written and spoken
