Starting from 27th May 2024, we will offer an internship opportunity in the Merchandising team.
WOMEN'S SMALL LEATHERGOODS & BELTS COLLECTION MERCHANDISING
Key Accountabilities
The intern will support the Collection Merchandising Team with a focus on the Women's Small Leather Goods categories in the following activities:
- Social media follow-up and analysis of market trends on the web.
- Research on new product launches and fashion shows/main events of key competitors
- Updating of competitor data (products, prices, etc.)
- Updating of sample files/communication tools
- Use of the tool dedicated to line lists and collections database
- Monitoring of sales data through the use of company software on a weekly basis
- Supporting the team in any sales campaign activities (sample shots/product briefings/showroom setup)
The intern will have the opportunity to learn and become familiar with Collection Merchandising working methods and techniques, with a specific focus on the Women's Small Leather Goods categories.
The main objectives of the internship will be:
- Understand the processes related to the creation of the collection: from structure to presentation, with constant monitoring of sales data, to the end of life of the product.
- Understand the complexity of Merchandising activities within Gucci.
- Develop knowledge and skills related to the role of Collection Merchandiser within the organization
- Increase passion and knowledge of the product and competitor's scenario with an analytical approach.
MEN'S LEATHERGOODS RETAIL MERCHANDISING
Key Accountabilities
- Launch reports and control data to analyze the business
- Monitor Best Seller and Slow movers' items and coverage
- Support the team in elaborating weekly comments on sales performance
- Collaborate in collecting data to place bulk order before each sales campaign
- Supporting the team in all the necessary activities before/during and after the Sales Campaign
- Train a person for future job opportunities
- Learn how Global Retail Merchandising works in our Company
- Learn how to use the company reporting system and database
- Learn how to work in a team and also together other department.
- Learn as much as possible about MLG business
MERCHANDISING PLANNING
Key Accountabilities
- Use technology tools and software to support data analysis and identify company key performance indicators
- Support the team and collaborate with other departments and regions
- Develop a problem solving capacity by combining flexibility and quick thinking
- Understanding the role of the merchandise planning in the fashion business and the internal dynamics with other departments of the company.
- Ability to critically analyse data, sales trends and develop advanced Excel and presentation skills
- Develop comprehension of the industry, working in a team environment while demonstrating the ability to work independently supporting a range of projects
- Basics of planning process, from buying campaigns activities to financial deadlines
- You should be going into your last year of university and planning a gap semester to take an internship or have recently graduated (within the past 2 years) with successful studies in Economics, Engineering or related fields.
- Previous curricular/extracurricular or educational experience abroad is a plus.
- Fluency in Italian and proficiency in English are required.
- Involvement in curricular university activities and volunteering activities
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent Excel and PowerPoint proficiency
The selection process will be starting in March 202- If your profile meets the listed requirements and your resume stands out, you will be asked to complete a Cognitive Aptitude test (+ technical test/excel if required)
- After the test result, you will be invited for the first interview with the Talent Acquisition Team in April 202
- The last step of the recruitment process will be a final interview with the hiring manager and HRBP.
