The Channel Activation Manager role is focused on contributing to the development of Campari Group's portfolio in the on-trade by driving penetration in the target outlets and ensuring proper brands education and world-class execution of visibility / promotional activities in the distributed outlets.

The incumbent has a passion for mixology, demonstrated through knowledge of cocktails, tastes and on-trade trends. Although this is not strictly a commercial role, a working knowledge of how on-trade outlets operate (i.e. menu creation, brand selection etc) is critical.


Key Responsibilities and Activities:

This role will be based in Shanghai, but with responsibility to look after key markets and regions across China.


Category and channel management and Communication

  • Implement & execute brand and channel activation plans through sampling, consumer activaions, trade events & engagement programs, in tandem with Marketing and other cross function teams.


  • Omnichannel brand communication

  • Participate and assist at brand specific trade/marketing events (trade shows, convention, sponsored events, master classes, activations, etc).

Outlet strategy and management

  • Drive local brand POSM catalogue development and customise the POSM assortment for the different outlet segment/event type
  • Handle overall execution of key brands, and support project planning
  • Drive local ontrade and offtrade segmentation in line with global model
  • Drive local guidelines and plan definition for Product assortment, in line with global model by POS segment and per outlet segment, including local activation program/initiatives design
  • Ensure that Merchandiser, mystery shopper standards (If relevant) "The Perfect Store" are adhered to for best in class execution of all BTL activations
  • Contribute to scorecard and KPI definition for ONpremise accounts

Innovation & Product Lifecycle Management

  • Support new product development business case with focus on outlet segmentation, pricing, volumes, drinking strategy and channel activation plan.
  • Contribute to innovation and local playbook build up
  • Contribute/prepare annual brand plan channel marketing brand for all key brands

Manage Key Partners, Regions and Agencies

  • Implement, facilitate and support a smooth WOW with distributor and partners
  • Work closely with distributor trade marketing team to ensure best in class trade activations
  • Manage agencies to ensure timely delivery of all milestones
  • Develop strong relationships with strategic partner marketing department to identify new strategic marketing opportunities/partnerships, including launching of new SKUs into local market.
  • Key contact for East/ North China regional team, work in tandem to execute regional plans.

Ensure eCommerce execution synergy

  • Coordinate with eCommerce team on activity calendar in the market
  • Ensure proposed E-Commerce activations are in line with strategic objectives

Channel Reporting & Administration

  • Communicating channel performance, and activation effectiveness
  • A&P budget administration & Monthly reconciliation for all Off-Premise activations

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree required
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in brand management/ channel marketing, ideally in FMCG. Past experience in international spirit is a plus, but not a must
  • Great passion in the imported spirits category and brands, and the lifestyle it represents.
  • Prior experience and ability to thrive in teambased settings. A good team player and details oriented.
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to communicate confidently with seniorlevel leaders
  • Ability to network and build strong relationships. Charismatic, engaging and thrives on presenting to groups of people.
  • Ability to balance between a robust analytical capability and an interest in the creative process
  • Fluent in both English and Mandarin
  • Able to travel domestic (50%) and internationally
