YOUR TEAM***You will be working in a multicultural group, mainly composed by Biologists, Biotechnologist and Biomedical scientists, who work in close collaboration with the multi-disciplinary staff of IIT, having strong expertise on -omics, bioinformatics, material science, imaging, neuro-physiology and neuro-electronics.

YOUR PROJECT
The project aims at investigating the epigenetic bases of
hippocampal behavior and age-dependent
cognitive decline, with a focus on a novel
noncoding RNA pathway recently identified by our lab, which plays crucial roles in neural stem cell fitness and neuroinflammation (Gasperini _et al._ _EMBO rep 2023 EMBO Rep.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:


  • A PhD in Biomedical Sciences (_e.g.,_ Medicine, Psychology, Neurosciences, Biology, Biotechnology or similar)
    .

Documented experience in behavior paradigms (ideally, hippocampal-related)
; a strong publication record
.

  • Fluent in spoken and written English.

DESIRABLE SKILLS

  • Felasa like or other certificates for experimentation
  • Experience in surgery, e.g. viral transduction in vivo (etc).
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong problemsolving attitude
  • High motivation to learn
  • Spirit of innovation and creativity
  • Good in time and priority management
  • Ability to work in a challenging and international environment
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a highly interdisciplinary environment and coaching junior scientist
