Responsabilità:


What we are searching for is a motivated person, who cares about the environment and finds satisfaction in helping our customers to have success, through careful data analysis.

As an Environmental Project Handler you will, under general supervision, manage projects for the evaluation of the emissions from Medical Devices and other products.


  • You will define with our customers the correct test set up and parameters, then work directly with the laboratory to have the tests performed according with the customer specification.
  • You will be involved in the report drafting, Quality Check and you'll work with our toxicologist to prepare the final report for the customer.
  • You will have the opportunity to act as the primary client interface for specific clients in partnership with the account manager and be responsible for the entire project execution.
  • You will communicate frequently with clients to discuss technical issues, explain UL Solutions procedures and requirements, and negotiate project plans. Act to address client concerns and to resolve client issues, in order to efficiently complete projects.
  • You will manage projects from beginning to end by obtaining necessary information from the account manager, client, coordinating project testing with the appropriate laboratories, communicating with environmental experts, and ultimately being accountable for meeting and exceeding project milestones and client expectations.
  • You will work with the client and internal Environmental Project Handlers and Program Managers to ensure the same methodology is consistently applied to projects. This includes examining the product, reviewing product and manufacturing documentation, preparing test information for laboratories and evaluating test results.
  • You will communicate project status and results to clients and account manager through frequent contact and by preparing reports. Constantly striving to exceed customer expectations.
  • You will liaise with Account Managers, Commercial Team, Finance and Subject Matter Experts such as the Product Manager, external stakeholders, external and internal certification bodies, and New Product Development/Science Teams where required.
  • You'll have the opportunity to contribute in developing and maintaining project working templates to support program development, implementation, and maintenance.
  • You may have also the opportunity to support Indoor Air Quality Lab operations, when required.

Qualifiche:

  • University Degree (Bachelor's degree/Master Degree) in Environmental Engineering/Biotechnology/Chemistry or other technical fields related to chemical emissions or around 4 years directly related work experience.
  • Project management and direct client interface experience strongly preferred. Knowledge in toxicology will be highly considered.
  • Working experience with technical environmental concepts, such as test methods, chemicals and material data.
  • Toxicology background would be a plus.
  • Knowledge or experience with one or combination of following preferred: Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS), Indoor Air Quality chemical emissions, Medical devices design.
  • Strong English command.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving skills. Team player with good time management skills.
