Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 is the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games of 2026, carrying on the organization, promotion and communication of the sporting and cultural events related to the next Winter Games.

Milano Cortina 2026 will be the first large-scale Olympics in history: 9 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, 2,300 municipalities directly involved, over an area of 22,000 square km.


The Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee has been established in 2019 with the purpose of organizing Olympic and Paralympic Games in compliance with the Host City Contract signed jointly by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the two cities of Milano and Cortina and the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI).


Furthermore, the Italian Paralympic Committee, the Regions of Lombardy and Veneto, as well as the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano/Bozen are all partners in this major national-level project, with the support of the Italian Government.


Position:


Within the Organizing Committee's people management team, Workforce Planning & Operations Area has the responsibility for efficient and effective planning of the organisational structure required for the organisation of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, including not only the coordination of workforce headcounts estimation and the forecasting of personnel budgets, but also the definition of processes and policies related to the function and regarding the workforce operations at pre-Games and Games-Time period.


As a result, the function is highly exposed to high level of engagement with other functional areas of the Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026, with members of external committees and with top management.

In this context we are looking for a
UNIFORMS MANAGER, who will have the following responsibilities:

  • Managing and coordinating the Uniforms Project, including relevant policy definition activities, estimating quantities and monitoring the procurement and distribution process
  • Coordinating development of a detailed uniforms business process to clarify the type of support required by Information Technology, Logistics, Accreditation and other Functional Areas.
  • Definition of workforce necessary matrixes to identify the type of uniforms to be provided to the different categories of workforce at relevant times and conditions both in Pre-Games and Games-Time period, acting in close collaboration with other functional areas of the Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026, with due respect of their own work timelines.

Requirements:


  • 6+ years of proven experience in project management within complex event environments;
  • Proven experience with staff planning and organizational structure related issues; budgeting and cost controlling management;
  • Previous engagement in similar roles in past editions of the Olympics & Paralympics Games or largescale sport events is considered as a plus;
  • Excellent analytical skills and good command of numbers;
  • Experience in managing budgets ensuring delivery through cost effectiveness;
  • Effective at simplifying complex process including through the definition of lean policies and procedures;
  • Ability to understand and conciliate different needs and boundaries (from legal/ reglementary aspects to costeffectiveness to more pratictal topics related to brand identity, logistics, event delivery and human resources management );
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship management skills due to continuous involvement with other functional areas of the Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 and collaboration with the IOC.
