Position Title:
Sr Manufacturing Engineer

A Day in the Life

Responsibilities typically include the following, but other duties may also be assigned.

  • Experience specifying, sourcing, and commissioning capital equipment necessary for fabrication, fill and inline sterilization of highvolume manufacture of intravenous bags.
  • Bring the 'voice of manufacturing' into product design.
  • Influence product engineering to
o. Specify critical to quality and critical to process features in drawings.
p. Ensure product tolerances account for manufacturing variability to allow high yields.

  • Define endtoend manufacturing processes including material handling, process, assembly, test, pack, sterilization, and labeling.
  • Design lean layout of equipment at manufacturing facilities.
  • Specify and source equipment necessary to meet defined manufacturing process.
  • Lead and execute FAT, SAT, IQ, OQ, and PQ to meet regulatory and quality requirements.
  • Author and approve all required protocols, reports, and plans.
  • Ability to perform GRR, DOE, Cpk, OEE, make vs buy, capacity, and other analysis.
  • Lead FMEA, risk assessment, and root cause analysis efforts.
  • Develop SOPs, SPC and control plans to ensure high yield manufacturing.

Must Have:


  • Bachelor's degree with minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or
  • Master's degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience
  • Degree in Mechanical, Biomedical, Plastics, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering, or
  • Degree in Chemistry

Nice to Have:


  • Familiarity working in an FDA regulated environment.
  • Dynamic, positive attitude with ability to multitask, appreciate diversity, and work with people.
  • Selfstarter and able to work with mínimal supervision.
  • Strong communication, project management, leadership, and presentation skills
  • Solid organizational and functional coordination ability
  • Six Sigma Black Belt
