What we are looking for


For our Milan office, we are currently looking for a Supply Chain Planning Manager to be hired in the Supply Chain function reporting to the Italy Supply Chain Manager.


The Supply Chain Planning Manager, will be the key role in managing inventory, demand and supply in close collaboration with Marketing, Sales, and Logistics.

The Supply Chain Planning Manager will work together with the global planning community, driving initiatives at local and global scale, also playing a key role on the design, implementation and operation of the new cluster model, having accountability on planning across multiple countries.


Main activities
The
Supply Chain Planning Manager will be responsible for the following activities:

  • Guide and execute the Sales and Operations Planning in the Cluster, incorporate market trends and uplifts in the forecasting process, create awareness on inventory and supply across all levels of the organization
  • Identify and implement the appropriate stock policy, to ensure rotation and optimize working capital and maximize service levels, ensure a strong focus on continuous improvement
  • In line with global guidelines and teams, analyse and forecast future product demands working with marketing, sales, retail operations, business intelligence and finance teams
  • Own the business cycle based on data analysis, consolidation and agreement with sales, marketing and finance teams
  • Create and own a process for NPI and phase put, also to avoid write off/back order for the phasing out products
  • Oversees target stock definition at SKU / shop level
  • Consolidate and improve the demand and inventory processes to define improvement areas and related actions
  • Collaborate with other functions (purchasing, IT, marketing, sales, finance at local and global level) to achieve high demand accuracy level with an efficient inventory management
  • Conduct highlevel forecasting of sales and supplier demand
  • Control the stock to minimize the level of inventory in the network and ensure compliance with the defined Service Level Agreements
  • Analyze and monitor the KPI's, drive root cause analysis and lead actions to get to costs/inventory target
  • Identify key areas for business improvement along the key Supply Chain metrics (including cost savings opportunities, working capital impacts)
  • Lead and participate in strategic projects, including process improvements, business cases design and geographic expansion
  • Contribute to the selection and development of the new forecasting & replenishment tool that will be implemented at global level
**Skills and Experiences

  • University degree required (Management engineering, economics)
  • 68 years of experience in Inventory Management, Supply Chain Planning, and Forecasting gained in Retail contexts or in Large Organized Distribution
  • Excellent knowledge of numerical analysis and statistical mathematical models
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Knowledge of key metrics of stock performance, turnover, margin contribution, etc.
  • Ability to use crossfunctional skills in order to work with different stakeholders to manage and solve medium and longterm stock situations and problems
  • Excellent knowledge of stock management (accounting and cost management)
  • Accounting and cost management.
  • Good organizational and planning skills
  • Excellent qualities of relationship and communication and Teamworking
  • Excellent interpersonal and teambuilding skills
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple stakeholders
  • Fluent in English
