He/She develops the industrial strategy in the production sites. He/She is responsible for all technical services involved in the manufacturing process (maintenance, QHSE, methods, etc.).

Based at:
USA - Ohio

Position Reports to:
General Manager of North America and Operations Manager

Personal Information:

US resident/ French with a green card/ Franco
Italian (both nationalities) or Italian.
Degree: Mechanical Engineering or Process Engineering and knowledge of automation.
Minimum 710 years' experience in an operational management position, preferably in the field of plastic processing/transformation.
International business experience would also be a great advantage. JOB TASKS

1. oversee the daily operations of the production, manufacturing, engineering and maintenance teams and organize daily meetings to identify malfunctions and to set common goals;
2. manage staffing plans on 24/365 shift production and maintenance;
3. lead efforts to continuously control costs, improve efficiency, increase productivity, fulfill times of deliveries;
4. develop, define and monitor budgets and investments related to production department;
5. create and implement policies and procedures, coordinate with leaders from all departments;
6. develop programs to ensure continued operation performance and completion of tasks on time;
7. produce and submit monthly and yearly company activity reports and development plans;
8. train and evaluate company staff;
9. manage new products and new lines of productions in accordance to the policy improvement of Speed France and by cooperating with the R&D Department;
10. ensure Customer continued satisfaction and delivery of quality products;
11. oversee inventory in the plant;
12. oversee and ensure high safety standards at any time;
13. carry out periodical audits concerning the efficiency level for the department;
14. maintain OSHA compliance;
15. upgrade equipment as required;
16. guide maintenance team in root cause analysis and ensure best practices are implemented to avoid repeating failures;
17. define the industrial strategy with the Speed Group technical leadership;
18. develop and execute yearly capex plan

Knowledge:

Experience in the management of cost centers and/or similar size production units.
Able to program and troubleshoot PLCs and Robots.
Well versed with electric motor controls.
Electrical and pneumatic knowledge.
Good mechanical skills.
Can manipulate 3D models (preferred: SolidWorks experience).

Travel across USA to visit suppliers and customers to work on common technical projects: around 10 travels per year
