Overview:

The Antioxidant & Food Safety Product Manager is a dynamic position that is responsible for the overall management and marketing strategy for the EMEA Antioxidant/Food Safety products within the Kemin Nutrisurance business unit.

This position requests to support the Regional Marketing Manager in solid line and the Global Platform Manager (dotted line) in the management of the product's lifecycle through the creation of strategies and market plans which allow Kemin to grow the sales and profitability of antioxidant product lines.

This requires providing product strategy leadership within the product development process, by reducing product cost, and ensuring product standards.


Responsibilities:


Business Growth:

  • Increase market share and gross margin growth for product line(s) on an annual basis and meet or exceed revenue and gross margin targets for product category.
  • Provide, materials, support and education to the commercial teams for successful sales outcomes.
  • Develop customer strategy with commercial team.
  • Create and make presentations to customers at the request of commercial team.
  • Develop and provide input to reports that track and measure key performance indicators.

Strategic Marketing:

  • Execute product initiatives, set product and pricing strategy, in order to produce the highest possible longterm market share and profitability.
  • Defining unique product positioning.
  • Approach to entering new markets where markets and competitor analysis, customer segmentation and insights.

Brand Development:

  • Develop and manage a consistent corporate brand image throughout product lines, promotional materials, and events.
  • Lead the development of communication plans (positioning, target, tactics) and packaging.

Communications:

  • With consultation of Global Platform Manager, marketing staff, and the commercial team, develop, publish and communicate the annual marketing plan for assigned products.
  • Manage advertising and promotion activities, including print, pointofsale, online, electronic media, and direct mail (as applicable) to support business objectives.
  • Translate research data into product performance updates, technical bulletins, and sales/marketing materials.

Market Intelligence:

  • Conduct market analysis to monitor global markets, competitive products, sales, market share and marketing activities.
  • Deploy category knowledge and understanding to the management of product lines.

Innovation:

  • Lead and participate on crossfunctional product development teams leading to the launch of meaningful new products.
  • Participate in the Product Innovation Process through new product concept submissions as well as championing products through the process to launch.
  • Partner with Research and Development and Technical Services to further strengthen product story through product research initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in one of the life sciences with 3 years of experience in Product Management (additional related experience may be considered)
  • Demonstrated integrity and honesty in all aspects.
  • Ability to understand the chemical and biological sciences related to oxidative stress of fats, oils, and meals; an ability to understanding of the technology and products Kemin sells.
  • Ability to present ideas effectively and communicate well with customers, peers and all levels of management.
  • Strong cross functional team, leadership, and interpersonal skills to be able to work effectively in a diverse team environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Requires a marketing mentality combined with marketing training or experience as it relates to marketing products in the industry
