Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 is the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games of 2026, carrying on the organization, promotion and communication of the sporting and cultural events related to the next Winter Games.

Milano Cortina 2026 will be the first large-scale Olympics in history: 9 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, 2,300 municipalities directly involved, over an area of 22,000 square km.


The Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee has been established in 2019 with the purpose of organizing Olympic and Paralympic Games in compliance with the Host City Contract signed jointly by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the two cities of Milano and Cortina and the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI).


Furthermore, the Italian Paralympic Committee, the Regions of Lombardy and Veneto, as well as the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano/Bozen are all partners in this major national-level project, with the support of the Italian Government.


Position:

We looking for a
Bus Operation Manager.
The Bus Operation Manager will be responsible for the Bus Operations Project development. He/She will be managing individuals and teams assigned to the project
in different sub-areas.

  • Complete the basic data framework necessary for the development of the project, interfacing with other colleagues in the Transport Department dealing with the definition of service levels etc.
  • To organize the meetings of updating and deepening with the agencies (definition of the dates and the modalities of development, drafting and sharing of the Agendas, etc.).
  • Organize the work plan of the Bus Operation team and operators who will be involved in the project and manage deadlines and workloads.
  • Ensure the daily contractual and operational relationship with operators at the planning and operational planning stage.
  • Interface with the City Operations functional area to verify the progress of all transport activities in the Territories.
  • To carry out a monitoring activity of the main planned infrastructural interventions and to update the relative levels of risk for the Milan Cortina Transport Project.

Requirements:


  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in the field of Transports;
  • Knowledge of Mobility and Transports Operations within the scope of events organization field and public transportation field;
  • Proven experience in Transport Planning related to big Sport Events or other kind of International Events;
  • Proven experience in Planning, Scheduling and Managing complex systems for Public or Private Bus Transportation;
  • Proven experience in managing relations with Local Authorities and Entities for Events Organization;
  • Managing Budget for services supply and managing operational activities for people transportation;
  • Master's degree in Business, Engineering or Law ;
  • Ability to adapt to a changing and complex environment;
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills mixed with Management skills and attention to details for carrying on several activities, such as scheduling agendas, presentations, minutes acts;
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with other Functional Areas within the Organization and with External Clients, Host Territories, Local Authorities and Bus Operators outside the organization;
  • Flexibility and comfort with traveling as required;
  • English: level C1 or equivalent certification;
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency.
