Reporting into NI Procurements Advanced Procurement Team, the NPI Material Manager is a dynamic role supporting R&D, the Business Group, EMS partners, and Supply Chain Operations.


It offers exposure to a broad range of processes, cross functional teams and the systems required to support the overall supply plan from Proto through to volume launch of the product.


What you will learn and contribute to


The role of NPI Material Manager is instrumental to strengthen our relationships with R&D as well as our EMS partners and maintain a strong collaboration within the NI Procurement and Supply Chain teams.


As a part of our team you will:

  • Support the R&D proto schedule and the NPI ramp to volume by supporting risk buys and managing the EMS partners to ensure supply chain is being executed according to R&D needs in the EMS ERP
  • Engage consistently with Procurement and Supply Chain Operations to ensure Nokia forecast alignment
  • Participate in Nokia/EMS execution calls to ensure priority alignment.
  • Validation of component execution will include adherence to Lead Time, PO execution within the MRP cycle, supplier confirmations, shortage management and allocation execution within EMS ERP.
  • Support post material processes at the EMS to ensure NPI clear to build (CTB) analysis and proposed supply plan (PSP) are executed accordingly.
  • Support the Do Not Buy (DNB) process to ensure materials are covered to leadtime and Pos are placed in a timely manner

Your skills and experience

  • Bachelor or Master Degree and +5 years relevant electronic industry experience in a Purchasing or Supply Chain role.
  • Excellent communication (written and oral).
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and competent skills in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Analytical skills and detail orientated personality.
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask and work under the pressure of tight time constraints.
  • Experience with Kinaxis and various ERP systems is preferred.
