The General Ledger Accountant, reporting to the GL Supervisor, operates in a Shared Service Center based in Milan, providing administrative services for some Group legal entities in EMEA.
Within the SSC, the GL Accountant is primarily responsible for preparing journal entries, reconcile financial statements, accounts an revenues, and ensure data accuracy.
Ensure respect of service levels, performance metrics and policies / procedures (including internal controls).
Key Activities and Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries
- Reconcile financial statements, accounts and revenues
- Enters deposits into accounting software and verifies accurate accounts and amounts are entered.
- Perform the period end activities
- Other ad hoc activities in the area of general Ledger (e.g. reporting activities)
- B.S. Accounting, Finance, or Business
- 3/5 years of experience in general Ledger /Finance
- D365 knowledge is a plus
- Microsoft Office suite experience with proficiency in Excel
- Fast and accurate reporting skills
- Required language: English; Italian (preferential)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and process large volume activity
- Willingness to assist team as needed to obtain department goals
- Strong customer service approach to managing daily inquiries
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Able to work well in a fastpaced, friendly, teamoriented work environment
- Office: Milan
