Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 is the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games of 2026, carrying on the organization, promotion and communication of the sporting and cultural events related to the next Winter Games.

Milano Cortina 2026 will be the first large-scale Olympics in history: 13 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, 2,300 municipalities directly involved, over an area of 22,000 square km.
The Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee has been established in 2019 with the purpose of organizing Olympic and Paralympic Games in compliance with the Host City Contract signed jointly by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the two cities of Milano and Cortina and the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI).
Furthermore, the Italian Paralympic Committee, the Regions of Lombardy and Veneto, as well as the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano/Bozen are all partners in this major national-level project, with the support of the Italian Government.
Position:
- Coordinate and support the implementation of the management system (Head quarter and venues; external activities such as events,
- Support the implementation other projects and the Strategic Environmental Assessment process (SEA).
Key Deliverables:
- Contribute to the implementation of a Sustainability Management System for the Olympic and Paralympic organisation in all phases of its life
Fondazione's responsibilities.
- Support in the coordination of activities among different Cluster
- Support to FA Operations (Energy, Transport, Food&Beverage, Waste&Cleaning, Accomodation, Logistics, etc.) for the definition of procedures
materials management plan:
energy efficiency, reduce, reuse and recycling with a circular approach).
- Support in the collection of data from different FAs for the carbon footprint strategy (calculation and reduction measures) and management
- Contribute to ensure the continuous monitoring of environmental performance and its reporting to external stakeholder.
- Support in the implementation of internal audits of SMS in direct or indirect activities (venues, working areas of permanent infrastructures).
Requirements:
STUDENT QUALIFICATION:
Master's degree in engineering, business and economics, environmental sciences, biological sciences, agronomy, physics, chemistry, architecture with majors related to environmental sustainability.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
5 years in the industry in a similar technical role in the topics/competencies below. Experience in large-scale events preferred.
SKILLS:
- Coordination of activities in environmental issues;
3. environmental management systems (ISO 14001, ISO 20121, etc.);
4. sustainability data collection and processing.
5. knowledge of English essential, intermediate level; other language welcome, particularly French.
A. Experience in the field of occupational health and safety.
B. Experience in the field of event organization;
