THE ROLE
New Guards Group is looking for a Metal Hardware R&D Specialist to join and support the Leathergoods Product Team. Reporting to the Product Manager, you will manage the development process from initial concept to finished product.


WHAT YOU'LL DO- Creation of prototypes and samples, in compliance with stylistic guideline, quality standards, timeline and costs Manage technical product data sheets, ensuring technical specification for all kind of metallic part Review all prototypes and samples and communicate feedback to suppliers together with the production team Manage and research new suppliers suitable for the realization of the products building a strong relationship with them Collaborate in the implementation of technical standard Share design best practices in order to anticipate production issues R&D on new suppliers, production processes, materials and finishing
WHO YOU ARE- 5+ years' experience in a similar role in metal hardware for luxury industry Deep Knowledge on metal hardware design, construction, finishing and manufacturing process Open mindset in terms of solutions and suppliers Knowledge of the legislation for the chemical aspects of the metal accessory Excellent knowledge and use of Adobe suite - Photoshop Illustrator, InDesign Good in English written and spoken, this will be tested in the interview process Problem solver with good interpersonal and communication skills Highly organized, flexible with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced everchanging environment
