Approximately 1 in 10 patients worldwide are affected by chronic kidney disease (CKD), many of whom experience the complication of anaemia which currently leaves them with symptoms that can dramatically reduce quality of life and increase risk of cardiovascular disease, hospitalisation and mortality.

At GSK, we are following the science of anaemia to better understand how to help these patients, who are often undiagnosed and undertreated.

GSK is proud to be expanding team working on CKD in the US, UK, Germany and Italy and we are seeking experienced and passionate professionals to join our exciting journey.

In this role you will
The Medical Scientific Liaison is responsible for ensuring medical-scientific expertise and being the reference point of GSK Medical Affairs in the assigned territory towards the territorial cross-functional team and external Stakeholders (eg. HCPs, EEs, Payers, Scientific Societies, PAGs, Patients), guaranteeing a high level of knowledge and competence on the assigned products, on pathologies in the therapeutic area and on the external healthcare environment.

He/She Communicates his deep knowledge of GSK data in the context of general patient management to ensure evidence-based basic understanding of GSK medicines and he/she gathers valuable information on GSK products and services, as well as medical and scientific information to better understand patient needs and evidence gaps.

Qualifications & Skills:


  • Degree in Medicine, Biology, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, CTF and similar.
  • At least 2/3 years in medical affairs experience in nephrologist/anemia or specialistic areas
- knowledge of regulations and laws (Ethical & Legal Compliance); Knowledge of the procedures governing medical and scientific communication activities.

  • Have followed at least 1 product launch.
- cross functional team work skill with internal and external stakeholders;

  • Possibility of traveling and business trips for more than 50% of the monthly working days.
  • Communication skills both for f2f and through digital channels
