HEAD OF CENTRAL SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT IN LAINATE (MILANO)

Tasks and Qualifications:


Your responsibilities

Logistics, Freight, and Supply Chain Management:

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of logistics, freight, and supply chain operations.
  • Analyze data and performance to identify areas for improvement and optimize supply chain processes.
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements and industry standards.

Inventory and Warehouse Management:

  • Manage new equipment inventory and warehouse operations.
  • Conduct annual audit checks for balance sheet closing in collaboration with external auditors (Deloitte/KPMG).
  • Monitor inventory Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as rotation index, Days in Inventory on Hand (DIH), and Days Inventory Outstanding (DIO).

Order Processing and Outbound Logistics:

  • Oversee order processing and outbound logistics activities.
  • Coordinate with trade compliance and thirdparty certifiers (e.g., SGS, Intertek, CargoX) to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Manage insurance claims for transport damage or warehouserelated issues in collaboration with the legal department and group brokers.
Sales Backoffice

  • Take operational responsibility for sales backoffice functions.
  • Manage predelivery inspection processes in coordination with hub service engineers and the logistics platform.

Indirect Purchasing:

  • Oversee global and local indirect purchasing activities.
  • Monitor the Supplier Data Integration (SDI) process and take corrective actions in case of errors.
  • Coordinate with Account Payable stakeholders to ensure proper invoice processing and approval in collaboration with Finance Service in Poland.
  • Manage Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and contract (RFQ) management.

Demand Planning and Sales Analysis:

  • Prepare statistical forecasts and conduct sales analysis to optimize container space and costs.
  • Support the demand planning process and collaborate with relevant stakeholders.

Ecopower Membership and Sustainability Management:

  • Manage the company's Ecopower membership and related initiatives.
  • Contribute to sustainability management and promote environmentally friendly practices within the supply chain.
Support Health and Safety Management (with dedicated HSE consultancy)

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the supply chain operations and implement and monitor safety protocols and guidelines

Team Management and Training:

  • Manage a team of three professionals, providing guidance and training.
  • Resolve issues that arise, such as delays in delivery or accidents.
Participation in the"Business Transformation" project oft he KION Group:

  • Participate in the business transformation process, specifically the implementation of S4 HANA.
  • Contribute to the transformation of manual processes into digital systems.

Qualifications

  • Fluent in English and Italian
  • High proficiency in SAP, with proven experience as a key user.
  • Strong familiarity with international trade, payment procedures, INCOTERMS, HS codes, and customs' import/export procedures in coordination with the Chamber of Commerce.
  • Very high proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Degree in Business or Engineering.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for business purposes.
  • Strong customer orientation.
  • Excellent project management and problemsolving skills.
