TGRC are delighted to be partnering with a Solar Greenfield Developer, where they have identified Italy as a key promising market to expand their business.

The business is seeking a Development Manager / Country Manager - Photovoltaic & Storage plants in Italy.


Key responsibilities:


  • Representing the team to develop new solar plants and energy storage systems in Italy.
  • Establishing a prospective strategy and targets to originate new projects targeting northern and central Italy.
  • Leading the business development in Italy and establishing a team of developers and network land scoping originators in order to grow the pipeline.
  • Building and cultivating relationships with owners of land that is affected by the assigned projects in order to establish and maintain a positive link with the local communities in the interest of the projects' success.
  • Securing suitable lands for solar plants and energy storage systems.
  • Managing the permitting process including the preparation and/or review of the documentation for EIA.
  • Managing internally and/or by coordinating with external consultants on all activities related to the assigned project, including site preselection and environmental constraints analysis, wind potential assessment, layout definition and optimization, land leases agreements, environmental impact assessment approval, building permit achievement

To succeed in the role:


  • Be fluent in Italian and English, French is a plus
  • 510 years of relevant experience in solar and/or development in Italy
  • Relevant experience in Business Development and/or Development (facetoface with the landowners, local authorities, DSOs and TSOs).
  • An understanding of environmental constraints and legal documentation review and negotiations.
  • Valid driving license.
  • Willingness to travel between Italy and France.
