Faiveley Transport Italia, part of the multinational group Wabtec Corporation, is a leader in the design and production of brake control devices for trains, subways and trams, with a high technological content and in which electronics, software and pneumatics closely interact.

For the R&D Department we are looking for an R&D INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY ANALYST.

THE PERSON WILL BE RESPONSIBLE for the systematic surveillance of competitors patents and for the management of Wabtec's patents.

Specifically, the main tasks will be:

Lead the patent brakes committee, involving relevant sites/product line
Analyze patent activity of competition, to support the identification of competitors' strategy
Support the writing of new patents
Take care of oppositions & search reports, together with patent attorney

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE HAS:

Master's Degree in Engineering (electronic, mechanic, mechatronic) 2 years of professional experience
Italian and English proficiency (level C1)
Analytical skills, precision and attention to details
Able to work with remote teams located in different Italian and European Sites

Nice to have requirements:

Previous experience on patents and related processes
Knowledge of railway systems & products, preferably brake systems
Knowledge of railway standards (EN50155, EN50126, EN50128, TSI LOC&PAS, TSI WAG)
French and German proficiency
