Indirect Tax (IDT) Associate

Would you like to join the Indirect Tax Team in Novartis Italy and to contribute to that ?

The Indirect Tax team (IDT) delivers quality services for Novartis group of entities within Italy, having oversight and responsibility for indirect tax matters.

The IDT Associate collaborates with the IDT Lead, IDT Center of Excellence and local teams to maintain oversight of the end-to-end compliance process for IDT tax reporting, ensuring high quality of data and timely delivery of reporting.

Supporting stakeholders with indirect tax advice for carrying out the local business as well as the global business, understanding tax impact of new business scenarios and assisting to implement appropriate tax processes in systems.

Perform IDT internal controls (NFCM), and keep procedures updated. Assist in audit management in line with local legislation and statutory requirements.


Your key responsibilities:


Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provides services at expected levels with a clear customer focus, escalating exceptions accordingly;
  • Interacts proactively with the various stakeholders (e.g. local business units and functions and Novartis process organizations within NGSC);
  • Coordinates activities within the local FSCs, NGSCs, Group Tax and 3rd party service providers, ensuring seamless service delivery;
  • Make things happen and make the commitment;
  • Supports continuous improvements, proposes and delivers innovative solutions for efficient and effective indirect tax processes.

Minimum requirements

What you'll bring to the role:

  • +4-6 years of Indirect Tax experience in multi-national, matrix organization or Big
  • Analytical skills to prepare and to analyze data and draw sound conclusions
  • Teamwork and Project leadership
  • SAP working knowledge
  • Fluent in English
