About the job:


  • Franke buys annually electronic components worth around 20M CHF, primarily for the hood, appliances and coffee machine production.
  • The 'Electronic Components Strategic Buyer" is responsible to:
  • analyze component costs and trends (including raw material development)
- assess possible volume bundling and supplier consolidation
- better exploit Franke's negotiation position in order to achieve signif icant cost benef it
- improve supplier service level, standardize prices, payment and logistic terms
- negotiate, formalize and maintain supply partner agreements
- support Complexity reduction program through a standardization process within Franke


Your tasks:


Essential Duties

  • Manage supply chain requirements by consolidating Franke demand requirements
  • Consolidate supply chain and manage the demand forecast to the supply base
  • Determine volume supply share for commodities suppliers
  • Guarantee supply availability
  • Build a procurement network where local companies and colleagues play an important role together with the Central purchasing
  • Material Productivity action plan
  • Establish cooperation between specif ier (Marketing & Innovation), and purchasing involving Quality and SCM

Responsibilities & Competencies

  • Consolidate supplier landscape
  • Move the "commodity" components f rom European suppliers to low cost suppliers
  • Negotiate new supplier agreements
  • Rationalize and standardize product ranges within Franke
  • Implement procurement strategy and policies
  • Monitor and follow up the implementation of the agreements in the various plants

Requirements:

- ~3 years within Purchasing/Supply Chain environment area

  • Preferred global/international business experience
  • Technical knowledge in electronics and electromechanics
  • Knowledge of cable and assembly supply market
  • At least 3 years' experience in the role
  • Good written and spoken English
  • Problem solving and teamwork skills
  • Strong interpersonal relationship skills
  • Analytical skills and excellent organizational skills
