Position Summary:

We're looking for an
Advanced Purchasing Program Specialist - High Performance and Electrification in Rivoli (TO) Location.


The Advanced Purchasing Program Specialist is accountable for high performance and electrification programs and the coordination of multi-functional teams to ensure success of program(s) across Light Vehicle Europe plants.


Main Responsibilities:


  • Assume responsibility for successful product launch for new programs with regards to budget, planning, scheduling, stakeholder satisfaction, and direction of assigned resources from program kickoff through to a successful production launch (i.e. cradle to grave).
  • Travel requirement of up to 20% (project specific)
  • Support the development, and lead the update and completion of Open Issues Timelines, Supplier Risk Assessments, Capacity Studies, APQP Status Reports, Change Logs, Stakeholder Milestone Summaries, Launch Status Reports, procedures and reports as identified
  • Assist in the compilation of the overall program budget for supply chain costs.
  • Prepare and present the program's toplevel sourcing plan to senior management.
  • Challenge the organization on design to manufacture philosophy which will enable a stable process for serial production and a costeffective design (VA/VE).
  • Support regular cross functional Product Launch Team (PLT) meetings to review the program schedule and assign resources to address any open issues. Escalate issues affecting successful Purchasing supply chain delivery.
  • Distribute, follow up and coordinate sourcing and costing tasks within global purchasing organization for more conventional category purchased items, like fasteners, bearings, seals etc.
  • Procurement and cost modeling of more advanced product specific categories like geared products, aluminum castings and power electronics in line with global commodity strategy.
  • Responsible for prototype sourcing, launch management and follow up.
  • Lead the launch management activities for Purchasing across Advanced Purchasing LV Europe working with Purchasing Programme Managers and Production Buyers to ensure successful build phase parts delivery on each programme.
  • Identify program risks and establish suitable contingency plans with the team.

Degree or Higher Level Diploma in business related studies of Supplier Management/Purchasing (MCIPS) or equivalent by experience.
