Global Markets & Technologies (GM&T) open new business frontiers for the Air Liquide Group with a strong expertise in cutting-edge technologies and inspired by disruptive mindsets.

In the context of the energy transition,
Biogas Solutions Europe business has seen double-digit growth for the last years in Europe.

This business includes the technologies and solutions that we offer throughout the value chain, from the production of biomethane, to its ultimate use (in transportation, industry, or for the production of low-carbon hydrogen).

Our European business is currently focused on France, the United Kingdom, Scandinavia (Sweden and Norway), and Italy.

Our growth is driven by the opening of several biomethane production plants and by strong demand from industry and the transportation sector.

And finally, as we have developed our solutions across the biomethane value chain, various projects have emerged as examples of a local circular economy.


Missions & Responsabilités

By joining us, you will be part of a very dynamic, fast growing and evolving environment and you will contribute to the process's implementation.


You will report directly to the European Head of Proposal Management and you will be the technical pilot in charge of cost estimations, elaboration of project/operations strategies and proposition coordination for all projects in Italy and in major European projects in liaison with the wider European team.


To lead the pre-project phase, to deliver the review Gate A detailing the technical solution and supplier selection process, CAPEX, OPEX, lead time, project risks, contract management with Project Execution Strategy with target organization for project execution and operations.

You will also support early phase permitting on the technical side and front end design with external partners.

You will monitor, be responsible for and lead all the projects in the proposal phases, in particular:

  • Anaerobic digestion, CHP boiler, feedstocks pre-treatment, digestate treatment
- biogas purification, injection to the grid or liquefaction installation,
- natural or compressed natural gas service stations;


You will propose the most adequate technical solution given the customer needs, manage the studies and works related to the field choice (location, soil or odor studies, layout, local regulation, safety distances, etc.), you will be in charge of defining budget envelopes (from civil engineering to technical details) with the adjusted contingencies.


You will define work packages, scope of work and supplies, RACI matrix, design basis of solution for entire Biogas plant and utilities requirements, coordinating the preparation/update of technical documentation as layout, process mass balance, preliminary PIDs Presentation and reviews to pass internal governance gates will be required.

You will lead the action plan and coordinate pre-project advancement.

You will feed a price Database allowing a quick first estimation and will search for new suppliers/engineerings capable of meeting our needs, guaranteeing the consistency between safety standards, rules and methods used to establish the budgets and studies over Europe


You will be the main point of contact of the sales managers, business developers, purchase department, technical experts, legal department and project managers/directors internally and externally with suppliers, contractors, technical local authorities...


As part of your mission, you will have to optimize the CAPEX (without penalizing OPEX), develop the overall project schedule with major milestones & resources plan during the project execution making preliminary risk evaluations/management.
