Thermo Fisher Scientific is looking for a Global Subject Matter Expert(SME) – Oral Solid Dose Product Development/ Manufacturing, based inEMEAThe Scientist:
Acts as Subject Matter Expert (SME) supporting Sales and BusinessDevelopment Executives (BDE) in Europe for oral solid dose productdevelopment projects to be supported from our sites in Europe or NorthAmerica.
Assesses customer needs, proposes scientifically sound developmentpathways, seeks collaborative solutions, and translates requirements toquotations group.Ensures proposed solutions are scientifically viable and meet the businessneeds of both customer and Thermo Fisher Scientific.
Reviews final proposals to ensure consistency with customer requirement inRequest for Proposals (RFPs).Ensures site presentation is consistent with corporate marketing standards,updates frequently with current technical capabilities.
Leads customer site visits along with site SME's and responsible forcustomer experience while on site.Identifies strategic opportunities with relevance to oral dose drug productfor capability enhancement to gain more proposal acceptance and businessgrowth based on market and customer requests.
Supports BDEs as SME at customer site visits representing capability of thesites and Patheon network.Trains current senior staff on site presentation.
Develops and presents to external groups include trade associations andscientific organizations.
Engages customers and operations staff for problem solving.
Collaborates with Marketing and supports publication of scientificarticles, white papers and thought leadership articles to raise thevisibility of Patheon's expertise and services.
What do we expect?Masters degree or Ph.D.
in Pharmaceuticals or related Health sciencesProven experience (10 years) in development and manufacturing of oral soliddose pharmaceutical drug productsKnowledge of Drug Development, GMP's and basic regulations in thePharmaceutical industryKnowledge of early stage clinical drug product development, tech transferand late stage manufacturing of oral drug productsExcellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) inEnglish along with presentation skillsDemonstrates business acumenThis is a global role, please apply in English.
