About the Role

We are looking for newly graduated or graduating students of Biomedical Engineering or similar studies, to support our Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) sub-division.

The Field Clinical Specialist Intern will assist and support on clinical product and technical assistance and training to physicians and sales representatives on the effective and safe use of the CRM products during case procedures within an assigned geographic area, and in a manner that leads to meeting and exceeding business goals.


Key Responsibilities

  • Under close supervision, they will support as resource for clinical support consisting of tackling routine issues relating to troubleshooting, programming, and patient followup for company products.
  • Assist in the education of customers on the merits and proper clinical usage of company products by participating in presentations and demonstrations to keep all customers abreast of the latest BSC products.
  • Supported by Field Clinical Specialist colleagues, they will be able to assist to unit implants in the labs and operation rooms of hospital accounts and perform patient followup to assure customer and patient success with the implanted products.
  • Start developing business relationships with hospital personnel (e.g., through casual conversation, meetings, participation in conferences).
  • Help in responding to customer needs and complaints regarding products and service by developing creative and feasible solutions working with other related personnel (e.g., sales, clinical, research, marketing, technical support) to develop optimal solutions.
  • Together with other Specialist colleagues, they will be able to learn how to provide technical support for clinical trial activity within assigned territory by supporting the site authorization process and study procedures as defined in the clinical investigational plan.
  • Support ongoing clinical studies.

What do we look for in you:

  • Graduating or graduated in a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Biomedical Engineering or similar
  • Available to sign an Internship agreement with a University
  • Based in Lombardia, ideally in the Milan or West Lombardia area.
  • Knowledge of electrophysiology and/or cardiology would be a plus
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to understand and communicate complex technical and clinical details
  • Eager to learn how to work in a complex and dynamic environment
  • Fluent in English. Also, additional languages skills are appreciated
  • Able to rapidly adapt to a very dynamic marketplace
  • Strong team player, collaborative, ability to build relationships and work crossfunctionally
  • Flexible, adaptable but focused and persistent
  • Willing and able to travel extensively as required by workload.
