The team, position & mission:

We are a team that delivers best-in-class project management for various projects.

Working with customer projects, we establish new solutions within a wide range of technologies, including on-prem and private, public, and hybrid cloud solutions.

We also deliver on continuous improvement projects for the organization in addition to the establishment of new products and processes.

As a result, we function as a hub in the organization, with our influence reaching far beyond the department's areas of responsibility.


As a project manager at Orange Business, you will mainly work with customers and projects in Norway, with occasional involvement in projects in other subsidiaries.

You will be part of an experienced and competent department with a focus on growth, both on an individual and department level.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading composite teams from different parts of the organization according to defined processes and methods to deliver project results in accordance with customer contracts or mandates.


We seek to work closely with our customers and other stakeholders; as such, you may be expected to have a presence at the customer location on occasion.

You will also be involved in bid processes, estimations, planning, and describing how to deliver the suggested customer solution.


Your key areas of responsibility as Project Manager:

  • Define and clarify project scope and objectives, including developing a project plan, brief, and schedule
  • Produce cost estimates, follow up on cost and invoicing
  • Determine the organizational structure of the project team, identify roles, positions, and stakeholders, resource allocation and planning
  • Setting product team's direction, coordinating activities, assigning work, and motivating team members
  • Stakeholder analysis, reporting to the steering committee, expectations management
  • Measure project progress towards objectives, evaluate the cause of deviations, and take corrective actions as necessary
  • Risk analysis, risk report, controlling risks
  • Project change request analysis, produce change request documentation, determine change impact on cost and planning, maintain project change request log
Maintain daily log, issue log, and exception log

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Project Management
  • Proven track record of satisfying results within a project
  • Strong communication skills (both written and spoken) in Norwegian and English
  • A willingness to learn from and share knowledge with others
  • That you hold one or more certifications within Project management (Prince2 Practitioner, PMP, or IPMA Level C certification)
Preferably some experience of working within the IT industry
