The NTO strategic Product Lead develops and drives the RLT Product Strategy to realize the Commercial Product Asset Strategy and optimize performance along the RLT value chain by managing complexity, driving product strategic decisions with senior management and RLT Operations to ensure cost-effective, reliable supply across lifecycle of a product.

The person has end-to-end accountability for all product related aspects and can make / propose the right enterprise tradeoffs. Single Point of contact for the Product for the robust, timely, high-quality supply, issue resolution and crisis management and ultimately lead in the cost evolution of the Brand with RLT platform Manufacturing Sites


Your key responsibilities:


Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Defines and executes the Product Supply Strategy, Life-Cycle Management Strategy, Supply Risk Management and Product Roadmap to ensure robust, high quality and on-time supply together with SCM, QA, RLT, Commercial Operations, Marketing and Development. Oversee Supply Chain & Planning KPIs across product life cycle.
  • Product strategy representative within RLT platform, end to end Interface and team member towards business franchises (Commercial, GPT/ GBT Global Program Team/ Global Brand Team), Global Drug Development and Global Drug Regulatory Affairs.
  • Lead crossfunctional product team in a matrix organization across Platform, development and Franchise.
  • Implements and Leads the Cost Leadership program with the focus of efficiency gain, complexity reduction, supply network optimization and business continuity.
  • Lead the Supply Chain evaluation for supply point decision, with focus on complexity reduction.
  • Liaise with Product manufacturing Sites, ensuring optimal site allocation, drug substance manufacture, DP filling, packaging, device assembly, launch and commercialization.
  • Defines integrated strategic and operational product specific manufacturing plans with the objective to optimize value, time and resources and ensure strong execution of plans; leads scenario evaluation for different supply options.
  • Ensures manufacturing life cycle management of products such as launches, site changes, process improvements, capacity expansions, new presentations, issue resolution and technology transfers.
  • Lead New Product Launch Project Team (incl. Product Design Concept workshop PDC 4/5) and ensures successful launch readiness.
  • Leads endtoend Product Allocation for Product programs according to the guiding principles for Product allocation. Drives product Allocation process for Product programs to assure Product Supply Strategy and Product Roadmap for Novartis.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP and regulatory requirements (including record management) and continuous improvement of quality relevant processes within area of responsibility.

Minimum requirements

What you'll bring to the role:

  • Scientific Master Degree + MBA.
  • At least 5 years' experience in a similar role within Supply / Technical Operations functions.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Strategic mindset.
  • Previous experience in a matrix, crossfunctional environment.
