JOB PURPOSE:


The Responsibility Programme Manager will be in charge of supporting the deployment of the Burberry Responsibility "People" pillar related activities across the EMEA supply chain made of more than 600 factories across 17 countries.

The resource will be requested to carry out social monitoring activities, deliver Modern Slavery trainings internally and externally, and lead remediation programmes to mitigate risks and enhance worker wellbeing across the supply chain.

The role entails strong project and stakeholder management proficiency, as well as negotiation and communication skills.

The resource will be responsible for working with a wide range of stakeholders on roadmap definition, data collection and progress towards social strategy agenda goals.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Plan and conduct social audits in EMEA and ensure appropriate and timely remedy
  • Design and deliver capacity building programmes aimed at improving working conditions in EMEA production sites
  • Provide support to Vendor Ownership Programme implementation
  • Support supply chain partners on social compliance requests and advise on broader ethical trading queries, in line with Burberry policies and procedures
  • Deliver Modern Slavery training to internal and external partners
  • Deliver workers Voice and Empowerment project
  • Engage with relevant internal teams to ensure information exchange and alignment
  • Ensure robust impact measurement and reporting

PERSONAL PROFILE:


  • Sound knowledge of the social, environmental and economic issues in the EMEA supply chain
  • Creativity, ability to continuously innovate
  • Strong communication skills including excellent written and spoken Italian and English
  • Approachability and interpersonal skills
  • Proactive and problemsolving attitude
  • Diplomatic and able to manage conflict
  • Experience in supply chain compliance management
  • Project management skills
  • Availability to travel at national and international level
  • Good knowledge of labour legislation and practices
  • Experience in managing different stakeholders
  • Social/Ethical Trade audit experience desired
