Job Summary:

We are looking for a
Category Manager for Category Material & Core Components within Supplier Management organization. This is a permanent position based in Modena, Italy or Lund, Sweden.

As the Category Manager, you will lead a diverse & global team.

Your role is essential in developing global procurement strategies across various categories, with a strong emphasis on raw materials & core technologies/components.

You will play a crucial role in driving efficiency, reducing costs, ensuring quality and service level, enabling innovation & sustainability in procurement, and fostering stakeholder relationships both within and outside the organization.


What you will do:


  • Develop and implement global category strategies that align with company objectives.
  • Lead, manage, and mentor a diverse global team, fostering a culture of excellence and forwardthinking.
  • Engage in highlevel stakeholder management, building and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Conduct market analysis & supply base assessment to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Work closely with crossfunctional teams to align procurement strategies with evolving business needs, particularly in technological advancements.
  • Drive negotiations with suppliers to achieve competitive pricing, quality, and service levels.
  • Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with key suppliers, managing supplier performance effectively.
  • Implement sustainable procurement practices in line with company's sustainbility goals.
  • Resources/succession planning and secure & develop competencies & capabilities within the organization for current/future needs.
  • Drive functional performance in line with set objectives and targets
  • Utilize data analytics to improve decisionmaking and track performance metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in procurement processes.
  • Lead/sponsor continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Additionally, you will play a crucial role in leading strategic initiatives focused on enhancing supply chain transparency and sustainability. This includes setting the roadmap for supplier management, coordinating with internal teams and external partners to implement effective strategies ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, and maintaining business continuity."

We believe you have:


  • University Bachelor, MBA/MA/MSc/CPS/ML or equivalent.
years of experience in procurement, ideally with leadership experience.

  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful global procurement strategies.
  • Demonstrated experience in highlevel stakeholder management and strategic decisionmaking.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a global team.
  • Strong negotiation, relationship management, and communication abilities.
  • Comprehensive understanding of global market dynamics and supply chain challenges.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and data analytics tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is advantageous.
