Microbiological Laboratory Manager:


JOB MISSION


Reporting to the Quality Control Manager the Microbiological Laboratory Manager will be responsible for the management of the microbiological laboratory guaranteeing the required quality standard of raw material, bulk and finished product and the support for the packaging department, with a strong focus on continuous improvement and Company' sustainable values.


DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Guarantee the release of raw material, bulk and finished product in accordance with the procedures and the quality standard.
Responsible to assure the qualitative standard of the process water.
Ensure the right level of support from QC perspective to R&D and Manufacturing department.
Management of deviations and of out of specification.
Ensure the training and the safety of microbiological laboratory personnel.
Ensure that the documentation is periodically reviewed and updated.
Management of corrective and preventive actions.
Support cleaning validation processes.
Carry out periodic risk assessment and critical control points analysis to evaluate the adequacy of controls plan.
Review and approval of validation protocols.
Responsible for developing laboratory KPIs and continuous improvement plan.
Support the external and the internal audit.
Improve the Linda (Lean in Davines) approach.


PERSON SPECIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor of Science in Biology, Life Sciences or related.
Excellent knowledge of the main microbiological analysis technique.
Good knowledge of the change control and validation process.

Minimum of 7 years of experience in pharmaceutical, cosmetic, or alimentary field quality assurance or quality control, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proactive and with strong organizational skills.
Leadership, Team working, Problem Solving and Change Management with a strong attitude to Continuous Improvement.
Good knowledge of the main tools of problem solving (PDCA; RCA; DMAIC; etc.).
Fluent English in speaking and writing.
