Position:

The position is based in our HQ in Rome.

The Real Estate Manager, reporting to the Legal Manager & Business Partner Europe, oversees legal aspects of retail business - mainly in Europe - with focus on real estate projects and retail network development (free standing stores and department stores) working close with retail business and architecture department.

The RE Manager provides expertise in assessing, anticipating, and fixing legal issues in the implementation of real estate projects.


_ Main Responsibilities:
_


  • Provides consultation on legal and contractual matters in both Italian and English, ensuring each company operates in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, in different geographies in Europe;
  • With strategic and operational business understanding, manages legal aspects of real estate projects acting as needed as project manager and coordinating outside counsels and partners where relevant;
  • Provides legal assistance in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various types of agreements on key business activities with focus on retail network development, real estate (lease/sublease agreements, concession agreements for free standing stores, lease departments, corners at airport) and construction matters;
  • Prepare and draft indepth analyses, opinions, and advice to queries from relevant functions;
  • Provides legal assistance on daytoday advice and develop legal awareness in the organization;
  • Participates and contributes to special projects mainly for the digital innovation of the legal department, as needed.

Profile:


  • Qualified attorney, in Italy or abroad with 7+ years proven experience at a law firm and/or inhouse in the following areas: real estate, commercial contracts (including lease agreements), and construction laws.
  • Integrity, confidentiality and adaptability;
  • Solid knowledge of law and regulations in the relevant area;
  • Work independently and ability to take initiatives; negotiation skills;
  • Perfect command of English language (French would be an important plus);
  • Rigor combined with pragmatism, spirit of synthesis, sense of business and ability to manage priorities;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
