About the role

With very strong roots in the industrial automation business for more than 40 years, FlexLink initiated its robotics journey a decade ago.

As the speed of innovation is increasing, FlexLink has decided to focus on innovation with the creation of a Robotic Lab to translate the market's demands into technical solutions.

The Lab, based in Bologna, will design and execute a strategic roadmap in line with the market expectation, developing its own core skills, and connecting to partners in order to integrate already developed solutions (SW, AI, grippers).

As the Robotic Lab leader, you will be responsible to guide the overall operation of the robotic Lab, managing projects from concept to completion, and ensuring that the lab is delivering value for the business.

You will also be in charge of monitoring safety and quality standards to broadly deploy and implement projects and solutions.

You will manage a dedicated team and be part of the Technology Development Leadership team.

Main responsibilities will include:

Building a team of SW, AI, and roboticssavvy experts
In strong collaboration with the Technology Development manager and the business development team, designing the lab strategic roadmap
With the support of the technical leader, evaluating use cases and breaking them down into technological work packs specifications
Scouting the market to identify external partners
Defining system integration and testing protocols
Managing budgets, timelines, and resources
Communicating progress to various FlexLink and Coesia stakeholders
Travels abroad to be expected (3040% of the time)
