Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 is the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games of 2026, carrying on the organization, promotion and communication of the sporting and cultural events related to the next Winter Games.

Milano Cortina 2026 will be the first large-scale Olympics in history: 9 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, 2,300 municipalities directly involved, over an area of 22,000 square km.


The Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee has been established in 2019 with the purpose of organizing Olympic and Paralympic Games in compliance with the Host City Contract signed jointly by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the two cities of Milano and Cortina and the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI).


Furthermore, the Italian Paralympic Committee, the Regions of Lombardy and Veneto, as well as the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano/Bozen are all partners in this major national-level project, with the support of the Italian Government.


Position:


The responsible individual will be tasked with designing and implementing in detail transportation activities at each competition and non-competition venue, as well as coordinating operations related to remote transportation hubs within specific clusters (interchange parking lots, railway stations, etc.).

Ensuring that designated spaces align with stakeholder needs and comply with the Olympic Transport Plan will be crucial.


The role will also require consolidating and integrating, if necessary, the monitoring and revision process of transportation areas at each venue by collaborating with all involved functional areas.


In particular, he/she will:

  • Engage with Milan Cortina functional areas representing stakeholders (Media Operations, Sport & NOC Services, Olympic Family Services) to identify optimal solutions for parking and loading/unloading areas for each venue within the cluster, addressing the specific needs of each client in terms of quantity and location;
  • Ensure that these solutions align with the Service Level established by the Transport Plan, considering aspects such as vehicle type, quantity, frequencies, etc;
  • Collaborate with the VNI department (Venue Design & Infrastructure) to integrate transportation needs into venue projects, ensuring compatibility with available spaces;
  • Interact with the Security department to ensure that the security control level is congruent with the dimensions of the Vehicle Security Area (VSA);
  • Coordinate the development of dedicated transportation maps for each venue and remote hubs;
  • Plan the requirements for temporary setups needed to ensure the efficiency of transportation operations at venues and remote hubs;
  • Develop operational plans to manage transportation operations at each venue and remote hub, quantifying the necessary resources and implementing them effectively, ensuring integration with the comprehensive Olympic Transport Plan.

Requirements:


  • High school diploma or equivalent;
  • 5 years of work experience;
  • English Level C2;
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office package;
  • Operational knowledge of transportation and mobility in the context of international events;
  • Experience in planning transportation operations for international events, ideally in a mountain/winter context;
  • Operational experience in managing transportation operations for international events, ideally in a mountain/winter context;
  • Experience in managing relationships with clients and suppliers in complex and diverse contexts.
  • Effective communication skills, organizational ability, and autonomy in task development;
  • Ability to manage a team, structure internal processes, handle operations, and resolve challenges;
