- You contribute to the benefit definition and updating of the rules and regulations of the medical and financial UW manual (SOLEM or equivalent)
- You adapt to the local language and be proactive to give a clear guidance on the definitions
- You apply sophisticated underwriting procedures to assess medical and financial risks for facultative clients.
- You handle, understand and manage the different type of claims.
- You communicate with all levels of client's underwriters and other company management personnel, explaining the reasoning and theory which surrounds an underwriting impairment, problem and/or decision
- You set up and drive the initiatives linked to Medical UW& Claims client servicing (mainly case handling) and highlight the relevant findings for actions. Ensuring a competitive turnaround time to Client whilst maintaining SCOR standards for UW & Claims philosophy
- You keep up-to-date with current medical topics, current economics and business environment as well as changing / new financial evaluation concepts and measures
- You carry out medical and financial UW training for clients (seminars, specific training etc.)
- You contribute to the local adaptation of informative documents prepared by the company regarding medical and financial underwriting.
- You incorporate the financial and medical underwriting point of view into the product development
- You close collaboration with the Business Development and pricing teams to develop new products and benefits
- You have an innovative mindset – to be acknowledge about AI trends on the Medical UW & Claims area and how this could be a future game change for the UW environment
- You give support to clients during the on-boarding of tools provided by Scor
- You promote commercially the EUW and VClaim tools and support to clients and colleagues of Velogica in the implementation of the tools
- You understand the internal Processes, tools & systems for UW & Claims
- You prepare additional reports required for business monitoring, accumulation.
- You collaborate with the technical accounting department for the control and registration of claims
- You collaborate with the actuarial department to monitor sports professional athletes.
- You have professional experience in the insurance sector. Experience in life reinsurance is a priority requirement. 8-10 years experience in this area (minimum 5 years)
- You have excellent communication skills to interact with clients and internal teams.

- You have at least a bachelor's degree in economics, insurance or smiliar
- You have strong analytics and reporting analyses capabilities
- You have a proactive approach to problem solving
- You have a strong (excellent) spirit of collaboration
- You have an international mindset (ability to adapt to different cultures/practices and understand those differences)
- You have the ability to identify the necessary risks and challenges to our UW and Claims functions and provide input into solutions
- You bring a strong mindset for facilitating best practice
- You like good team spirit, be willing to work with other people
- You bring the availability to travel in Italy and abroad to meet clients and/or for internal and/or international meetings
