Local Unit & Position Description:


The Food & Beverage Business development & Sales Area Manager shall ensure the set up and the development of F&B sector in the Balkan Area (including Friuli Venezia Giulia) in order to meet BA's and DNV F&B sector's requirements.

Belonging to Business Assurance Area Italy & Croatia organization, he/she will be responsible for implementing the F&B business development plan for the assigned Area.


The main areas of responsibility are:

  • Ensure that the DNV F&B sector strategy and policies are implemented at local level and manage, limited to the pertinent area, organisational F&B structure and relative interfaces within the organization
  • Define and put in place, according to goals & target, plans and actions in order to meet target regarding sales, revenue, operating margin, retention, quality of service in the F&B sector
  • Develop local market and promote and improve relationships with Customers of assigned territory
  • Support F&B Sales Manager Italy analysing F&B market trend information, related to selected territory, to recommend changes to practices and policies and improve market positioning
  • Facilitate credit collection from customers
  • Ensure a continuous presence in the market of assigned area
  • Cooperate with other colleagues, both inside food sector and outside, in a teamwork approach

Position Qualifications:

  • Educated to business or scientific university degree level
  • Previous experience of minimum 3 years working in sales and customer management and a strong business sense
  • Knowledge of certification services, especially in Food Industry, will be considered a preferential requirement
  • Full proficiency in Italian and fluency in English (both written and spoken); the knowledge of an Eastern European language will be highly appreciated
  • Strong commercial attitude, dynamic, goalsoriented, proactive approach
  • High level of business acumen, including an understanding of the customer's business drivers, industry, economic trends, issues and competition
  • Availability to travel
