Essential responsibilities

Set the strategy and roadmap for Infrastructure and Cloud adoption for the Avio Aero enterprise
Manages the financial budget and implementation process for all infrastructure and cloudbased projects in the AvioAero business
Lead, coach and mentor, a team of Solution Architects, Technical PMs and Software developers
Act as Change Agent Identifying opportunities for necessary changes and pursues/leads them when appropriate
Recommend changes that impact strategic business direction
Lead the planning and implementation of change programs that impact critical processes
Advises senior leaders on planning opportunities and implementation considerations for strategic investments and Identify how the cost of change weighs against the benefits and advises accordingly
Lead development of internal products and platforms to improve team velocity, such as standard work and CI/CD, process automation, quality assurance and testing and governance
Establish and foster a work culture at all levels that is positive, collaborative, diverse, inclusive, respectful, innovative, dynamic, with high integrity, and capable of driving positive change over sustained periods of time
Works with senior business leaders to communicate risks, impact, and mitigation plans for the business

Qualification/Requirements

Strong professional experience in Architecture, Data & Analytics and SW development
Ability to lead and run remote teams, potentially multicultural and on multiple time zones
Strong analytical, project management, and organizational skills
Fluent in Italian and English
Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required

Desired Characteristics

Strong track record of understanding and interest in current and emerging technologies demonstrated through training, job experience and / or industry activities
Knowledge of moderate to advanced AI/ML models and how to operationalize across varying scales of data (operational, big data, etc.)
Experience with infrastructure as code technologies whether native or 3rd party (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform)
Experience with virtual machine and container image lifecycle management
Demonstrated ability to establish operational performance metrics and drive continuous efficiencies and improvements for systems, processes, and resources
Demonstrated customer focus evaluates decisions through the eyes of the customer, builds strong customer relationships, and partners with customers to help shape their future initiatives
