We are looking for an
Innovative Materials Laboratory Foreman to join our headquarters at Sant'Agata Bolognese (BO), reporting hierarchically to the
Head of Composite Materials & Technologies Center.

**- Scouting and researching innovative materials (with particular focus in the strategic field of Composite), and evaluate through the appropriate tests campaign the effective possible implementation of each Innovations inside the series products

  • Inside the innovation process define the right test method approach from simple parts to complex systems (building block approach) to improve and make more robust the whole development process
  • Researching for new technologies and instrumentations according to innovative materials needs
  • Planning all the laboratory activities of blue and white collar in order to ensure time and quality target required for the tasks
  • Managing operators for both daily tasks and for security and safety
  • Managing the list of the laboratory equipment, plans the maintenance to guarantee the required quality standards
  • Planning, performing and post processing quasi static and dynamic mechanical characterization tests from coupon level up to vehicle level
  • Planning, performing and post processing thermosphysics characterization on polymers (FTIR; DSC; TMA; DMA; GC;)
  • Planning, performing and post processing aesthetical and corrosion characterization test (Xenon; corrosion chamber, climatic chamber)
  • Planning, design, perform and post processing complex test on internal test bench
  • Failure analysis on polymers and metallic materials (micrography, SEM,..)
  • Planning; performing and post processing Non Destructive Test (Infrared Termography, Ultrasound,)
  • Daily link, collaboration and interaction with suppliers and other company departments involved in testing and development to ensure performances, timing of the whole projects
  • Good knowledge of testing standard (ASTM, TL, ISO, PV..)
  • Developing, approving, migrating and maintaining internal Material Database (Granta)

About you

  • Master's degree in Industrial/Materials/Mechanical Engineering (or similar)
  • At least 46 years' experience in the same role
  • Fully proficient in English, German as a plus but not mandatory
  • Good knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoints, Outlook)
  • Good knowledge of technical testing software
  • Good knowledge of fundamental analysis techniques
  • Basic knowledge of CAD software (CATIA, NX or similar)
  • The person should be well motivated, dynamic, flexible and smartthinking
  • Good approach to interfunctional teamwork and good relational
  • Analytic and positive problem solving and initiative
  • Clear and effective communication, teamwork
  • Knowledge of Agile Project Management Principles
  • Planning and organizational skills
  • Leadership
