Product development

Comprehensive understanding of individual components & materials within the tyre construction, the cause and effect of each on handling, indoor integrity or other performance aspects.
Knowledge of process parameters and influence on tyre building & section geometry.
Ability to define mould profiles & tooling requirements.
Ability, with initial input from direct superior to develop in autonomy tyre specifications and follow through with local factory development teams for the manufacture of prototypes.
Interpretation of test results, ability to summerise synthetically and formulate an action plan.
Understanding of procedures and technical/legal documentation required for correct industrialization procedure of Motorsport tyres.
Organize benchmarking and analysis of competitors products and highlight interesting or innovative aspects of geometry/materials etc.
Product applicaton
Team working within the Commercial Product Development environment to ensure correct and precise circulation of project information.
Assisting where necessary at outdoor test sessions or events to follow and understand the interaction between vehicle and tyres under various conditions (circuit, rally etc).
Liaison with external customers and factory teams to ensure correct & efficient development of dedicated products.
Project management & reporting skills.

Requirements:

Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or similar

Programming-oriented mind-set (Python or MatLab preferred)

Open-minded and able to work in Team

Demonstrate an innovative and flexible approach

Be highly self-motivated
