Data Scientist - Machine Learning and Marketing Technology

What you will be doing

We are looking for an exceptionally smart and motivated Data Scientist, with strong expertise in Machine Learning methods and technologies, who is comfortable working in an agile but architecture-led environment.

You will be responsible for analyzing large and complex datasets and conceiving predictive models and algorithms that will be used to optimize the marketing and customer acquisition strategies in Satispay.

This role is based at our headquarters in Milan, where - along with all the key people - as an active member of Satispay, you will be a core member of the Tech & Product Team, helping fuel the growth of the Satispay Group (Italy, Luxembourg, France, and soon other countries) in activities such as:

Identify opportunities for leveraging machine learning to enhance our offerings and processes
Analyze large and complex data sets to uncover hidden patterns and insights
Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models to solve business problems, forecast customer behavior, improve our ability to allocate efficiently marketing resources, and drive growth
Design and implement experiments to test hypotheses and evaluate the impact of new features
Collaborate with Satispay crossfunctional teams to build a bestinclass data infrastructure and perform analysis on large sets of data to extract impactful insights on user behavior that will help drive product and design decisions
Continuously monitor and optimize machine learning models for accuracy and performance
Communicate findings and insights clearly and concisely to stakeholders across Satispay
Stay up to date with the latest developments and best practices in machine learning and data science

You have:

A thorough understanding of statistical modeling, and 3+ years of experience in data science, with a focus on Machine Learning and Deep Learning
Proficiency with causal inference techniques
Strong programming skills in Python and experience with machine learning libraries such as Scikitlearn, PyTorch, or TensorFlow
Problemsolving skills, to grasp and tackle loosely defined problems, and come up with relevant answers and impactful insights
Strong communication and collaboration skills, which make you comfortable working with multiple stakeholders
Fluency in English, both written and spoken
Experience in the Fintech industry is a plus
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) is a plus

Highly organized and able to work both in team and independently
A very good communicator and relationship builder
A very quick learner who adapts fast
Enthusiastic about taking on new challenges and to work under pressure in a fastpaced international environment
Proactive thinker, with the ability to 'think outside the box'
Resultsoriented, easygoing, entrepreneurial, and passionate about your work

Knowledge of French or other European languages is considered a plus.

The role is based in Milan with a hybrid work policy.
