Job Description Summary:
Our partnership with BlueFloat Energy grows stronger, working together for the development of floating offshore wind farms off the Italian coast


We are looking for a Consent Manager willing to join our teams and to support the development of 6 offshore projects in 3 regions of Italy.

The Consent Manager will play a key role in the consents programme for the project by managing the consenting programme and budget, and through directing surveys and in liaising when needed with external support functions.

The role will ensure that all supporting material is created to support the authorization process for the projects, with the focus on the environmental impact assessment procedure (VIA) and relative permits.


The Consent Manager shall have extensive experience in consenting for renewable (offshore and onshore wind projects) and demonstrable understanding of the Italian regulatory environment and PAs on the national and regional levels.


Job Description:


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervising the delivery of the Environmental Impact Assessment documents package, ensuring all supporting documentation and reports are issued in compliance with the legislation;
  • Organising and managing the consent project programme, ensuring budget is maintained within the boundaries;
  • Managing relations with the EIA ministerial commission and relevant authorities participating in the EIA process, reviewing and managing the replies from the commission and the recommendations received, organizing the provision of the answers to the public observations and other stakeholders observations received during the EIA phase;
  • Engaging with onshore and offshore colleagues to ensure preparation of environmental and related technical information on projects;
  • Ensuring procurement and management of surveys and studies and liaising with external support;
  • Management of external suppliers in terms of engineering and design works related or being an input to the Environmental Impact Assessment procedure and consenting in general, aligning the programs and deliverables between external expert provides of various input data, opinions and studies (legal, environmental and technical consultants, grid consultants etc.);
  • Following on the prescriptions received during consenting, planning, organizing, supervising the execution of the requested actions/monitoring activities, reporting back to the Pas on the execution of prescriptions;
  • Building strong relationships with all colleagues across the organization and ensure compliance with preconditions of consents throughout the project life cycle;
  • Ensuring that the project team and suppliers are compliant with company health and safety policies;
  • Responsibility for specific external stakeholders.

Key Requirements:

  • Extensive experience with consenting (authorizing) of renewables projects in Italy (experience with consenting of offshore wind projects in other geographies will be considered as a plus);
  • Proven ability of delivering project activities to programme, cost and specification;
  • Renewable energy and planning policy awareness, familiarized with the complexities of developing projects;
  • Experienced in managing external consultants with associated contractual and budget responsibility;
  • Previous experience in the environmental consultancy is a plus;
  • Have a strong understanding of the renewable energy Italian regulatory environment and management experience of the consenting, planning and environment issues within the EIA procedure, maritime c
