Commercial & Proposal Manager

Within the Snam Global Solutions Department (SGS), which provides integrated Service Solutions to help customers decarbonizing assets and enable energy transition, while guarantying operational efficiency and safety, we are looking for a brilliant resource that, in force to the Commercial Solutions team, will drive business growth and take ownership of the service orders for customers, build trusted relationships and contribute with innovative insights to drive sales opportunities.


The resource main areas of responsibility will be:

  • Build and execute territory orders & sales commercial plan geared towards driving market growth and penetration of our accounts
  • Develop technical and market expertise to provide pre and post sales support for key accounts
  • Forecast Order and Sales via input in our CRM system on a weekly basis
  • Build efficient relationships with internal and external stakeholders (partners & clients) to finalize the commercial proposal within the timeframe and cost target
  • Lead the preparation of commercial and technical proposals within defined procedures and deadlines and finalization of prices structures of projects
  • Highlight the main deviations against the specifications of the tender
  • Lead negotiations with clients
  • Report on all risks and opportunities against bid documentation, bid evaluation criteria and draft of contract

Must have

  • Previous international experience in commercial and proposal management preferably with focus on selling, negotiating and closing complex contractual agreements (min 5years)
  • Previous experience in selling consultancy and/or engineering services and ability of developing and finalizing relevant commercial and technical proposal
  • Negotiation and presentation skills
  • Fluency in English and Italian, other languages will be considered a plus

Nice to have

  • Master's degree in STEM or business management
  • Good knowledge of energy sector, with focus on gas transport & storage infrastructure and/or renewable energy gas related (e.g. Biomethane, hydrogen)
  • Availability for international geographical mobility
