For a client company operating in the travel luxury sector, based in Milan, we are currently looking for an IT Manager - Network figure.
Responsibilities
Reporting to our VP Business technology, you (and your team) will design, develop, document and monitor the global data network of the company.
This includes the satellite network that connects the ship and will connect, in future, our camps in Africa and our river boats.
With 50 offices in 35 different countries plus 2 ocean vessels (and 4 new build in the pipeline for the next years) and many river boats and camps also our wan is quite complicated and deserve a complete redesign.
Our goal is to connect our guests also while they are in transit to our destination using modern 4g/5g virtual SIM and special plans- Responsibilities and accountability:
- Assess the global network
- Redesign the network and renegotiate all contracts finding a global vendor to support
- Transform the hybrid network into a zero trust cloud based network
- Monitor connectivity, availability, coverage and usage of the network
- Manage security: access control and data transfer to detect leakage
- Design, manage and monitor the satellite network: define and manage contracts, sourcing, availability and usage (vsat, starlink, one we, mobile network)
- Manage new offices and new build
- Manage remote users
Your Profile
Skills and Abilities:
- switch: Cisco
- Aruba
- Wifi design, montoring, optmization in remote and complex environment (ships are big faraday cages camps in the jungle are luxury tents)
- Firewall: PaloAlto & Panorama, Cisco Meraki, Juniper
- Modem: peplink, iDirect, comtech, newtec
- Xiplink
- SD-Wan
- VSat antennas
- TVRO (Seatec
- Wan design, Management, troubleshooting
- Satellite communication: capacity planning, beam management modem configuration, troubleshooting, antenna maintenance and troubleshooting
- Optimization tools: Allot
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer science
- Minimum of 4 years' experience managing complex holdings with hands on involvement
- Used to work in dynamic international environment
- Professional English
Hybrid:
Milano (2 days on site) + business trips to Montecarlo
