The Position

Logistic Service Specialist

Job Summary

JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

  • Optimise the delivery leadtime, transport costs and the Quality service focusing on customer satisfaction.
  • Confirm availability of goods to the customers, discussing availability and collection data with the Production plant responsible.
  • Manage relationships with carriers and forwarders, confirming dates, checking invoices, claims and export documents.
JOB SCOPE/DIMENSIONS

  • Contribute to the On Time In Full (OTIF) and customer satisfaction indicators
  • Contribute to the claims KPIs
  • Responsible for maintaining a safe personal environment and acting safely at all times.
  • Fully supports the location health, safety and environmental (EHS) programs by participating in their implementation, maintenance, enforcement and compliance with the company's programs.
  • To support all STEP initiatives (Saving Together through Excellence in Purchasing) and participate actively in all requested projects.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Confirm sales orders to customers after planning discussion.
  • Assure suppliers booking transport through TMS (Transwide), issue Delivery Notes and all related documents.
  • Manage the customers urgent deliveries.
  • Manage customer complaints in case root cause analysis impacts Supply Chain.
  • Keep a closer relation with Customer Service to permit customers to receive all information related to the goods status.
  • Send the purchase orders to suppliers, follow up these orders confirmations and also ETAs requested vs ETAs confirmed.
  • Control suppliers deliveries conformity, costs generated by nonconformities (quality, delay) and that these costs are reinvoiced.
  • Anticipate the delivery delay from suppliers and manage emergencies
  • Forward all necessary documents to the logistics service providers
  • Send input documents to the accounting department for invoices reconciliation
  • Manage supplier complaints
  • Ensure delivery and stock data reliability in software.
  • Provide loaders short term and midterm information of daily collections.
  • Follow up and monitor Supply Chain KPIs related with the function.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar function
  • Minimum SAP Advanced user, preferably Hana version.
  • Bachelor or Master in international Business, Logistics and Supply Chain Management is a plus.
  • Strong background in all kinds of transport and export documents. Background as a customs agency or forwarder officer is an added value.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with several stakeholders, Sales, Customer services, Plant staff, Finance staff and forwarders / carriers representatives.
  • Leadership. Able to coordinate small projects.
  • Speak English and Italian.
