Finance Director role

As the
Finance Director Europe Actuation Technologies (ACT) , you will be responsible to oversee and monitor the financial performance of the Business Unit through balance sheet reporting and periodic operational reports (Actuals, Rolling Forecast, Budget), in compliance with all Corporate Policies.

As an active member of the ACT Europe Leadership team, you will work as a strategic partner to both global and local leadership teams, acting as the main Finance BU in Europe.

Reporting to the
VP of Actuation Technologies Europe, you will be asked to prepare and review various Corporate financial schedules, particularly focused on variances to forecast and past performance.

In this role, your responsibilities will be:

Support the world area leadership with strategic finance acumen and propose lead actions to improve the world area financial performance and overall profitability.
Lead and develop the European BU Finance Team.
Overview the Standard Cost setting process as well as understanding and addressing variances throughout the year.
Assist the Leadership and Corporate in the preparation, review and analysis of European as well as plant level budget/forecasts and monthly/annual financial statements.
Lead crossfunctional projects that directly impact financial performance (e

g:
Inventory reduction, material waste reduction, etc.).

Ensure compliance with SOX, working closely with other functions.
Monitor and analyze return on investment for global procurement projects, communicate risks and opportunities to the business (as Delegation of Authority).
Active engagement in price and margin management.
Overseeing the dispute resolution and collection process for the BU
Support the S&OP process led by the Finance team.
Report European key performance indicators and ensure their accuracy, understand and communicate impact of these measures to the business in order to create a Scorecard.
Develop and implement budgeting and financial reporting systems to provide timely and relevant information for the plant and Corporate management.
Lead annual strategic business plan & rolling forecast for expenses based on forecasted volume.
Preparation of monthly report required by Emerson Procedures in accordance with US GAAP.
Supervise headcount reporting in HFM.

For This Role, You Will Need:

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field
MBA highly appreciated
Proficiency in English
Strong financial analysis, budgeting and reporting skills
SOX compliance knowledge
HFM knowledge highly appreciated
Location: preferably based at the Europe Business Unit headquarter in Fiorenzuola
Italy but flexible for other locations
Flexible to travel across Europe (up to 15%)
