Job Purpose
- The OHSE Manager (M/F/d) will provide overall support of all matters related to OHSE for the Amcor Flexibles Venturina site in Italy. The position is responsible for deploying Amcor Flexibles EMEA strategic OHSE initiatives and developing/deploying local OHSE plant initiatives together with plant management and the OHSE team. The OHSE Manager is responsible for fulfilment of legal requirements and Amcor Flexibles EMEA policies in line with regulations and corporate guidelines.
Job Dimensions & Scope
- The role is based at and responsible for OHSE at the Venturina facility, reporting into the Plant General Manager.
Principal Accountabilities
- Supervise legislative obligations provided for by Legislative Decree 81/08;
- Identification of risk factors, risk assessment and identification of safety and health measures in the workplace;
- Elaboration of preventive and protective measures and control systems for the measures adopted;
- Work organization: planning and preventive measures for the protection of workers;
- Descriptive reports on plants, places and production processes;
- Development of safety procedures for the various company activities;
- Implementation of the safety plan in collaboration with the Employer, Competent Doctor and RLS;
- Planning of training and information programs for workers;
- Check professional technical requirements of external companies;
- DUVRI, supervise and monitoring;
- Supervision and monitoring of injuries;
- Interface with Public Organizations;
- Monthly drafting of the expected company reports
- Supports Line Manager in training and informing workers about Safety issues and responsibilities
- Manages and coordinates activities related to ISO 14001 and ISO 18001, in order to reach inherent certifications, and implementing if needed corrective actions
- CI activities
- Takes part in accident / incident investigation
- Carries out analysis of accident / incident statistics, identifying trends and suggesting improvement plan
- Performs Risk Assessment

Qualifications/Requirements
Formal Qualifications and Experience
- Ideally a degree level qualification (Engineering, Mechanical or Chemical is preferred) or equivalent experience through practical work in industrial environment.
- In particular, ideally 3 to 5 years' minimum experience in production environment with diverse technologies.
- Education in safety and environment is preferable.
- RSPP Training (Italian Law)
- The ability and experience to work with people, along with leadership skills
- Preferably strong knowledge of production processes
- Fluent in Italian and English
- The ability and experience to manage in a crosscultural environment
