This position is an exciting and new opportunity that is currently part of Medtronic and will move to a to-be-named company we are calling "NewCo".

NewCo will be an independent company with equal partners, Medtronic & DaVita.

It will be established in calendar 2023 as a new company (NewCo) formed from Medtronic's Renal Care Solutions Operating Unit focused on providing innovative technologies to support kidney care patients.

While you will start your employment with Medtronic, upon establishment of NewCo your employment will transfer to NewCo and you will no longer be employed by Medtronic.

NewCo is uniquely poised to transform renal care and dialysis, building on Medtronic's innovation and technology pipeline.

The business will have the singular focus, financial commitment, deep domain expertise, and global footprint needed to accelerate the development and commercialization of affordable and scalable life-saving renal care technologies — particularly our transformative home dialysis platform technologies.


A Day in the Life

  • Leads or leverages cross functional teams to evaluate, develop and manage projects for key business processes.
  • Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.
  • Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.
  • Monitors the project from initiation through delivery.
  • Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and clientsatisfaction goals and objectives.
  • Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

Must Have:
Minimum Requirements


  • Degree in a Science/Technology/Engineer related discipline with a minimum of 5 years' proven experience in relevant roles leading projects with a range of complexity, scale, and budget.
  • Strong understanding and experience of PMBOK process or equivalent for Project Management.
  • Ability to work remotely and to travel internationally up to 10% of the time.
  • Exhibits a positive leadership mindset motivated by this unique opportunity to be an integral part of the NewCo organization with mission to transform renal care and dialysis.
  • Leadership and team building skills to create / guide strong collective cross functional teams in a collaborative work environment.
  • Critical thinking Problem Solving expertise with the ability and skills to analyze and solve challenges.
  • Ability to manage a range of projects and multitask working efficiently under pressure.
  • Risk Management orientated approach with ability to identify, analyze and respond to risks throughout the lifecycle of projects.
  • Excellent Interpersonal and communications skills.

Nice to Have

  • Project Management PMP Certification or equivalent.
  • Project Management Software competency and experience.
  • Working Knowledge and experience of Six Sigma & Lean principles.
