Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 is the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games of 2026, carrying on the organization, promotion and communication of the sporting and cultural events related to the next Winter Games.

Milano Cortina 2026 will be the first large-scale Olympics in history: 13 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, 2,300 municipalities directly involved, over an area of 22,000 square km.


The Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee has been established in 2019 with the purpose of organizing Olympic and Paralympic Games in compliance with the Host City Contract signed jointly by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the two cities of Milano and Cortina and the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI).


Furthermore, the Italian Paralympic Committee, the Regions of Lombardy and Veneto, as well as the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano/Bozen are all partners in this major national-level project, with the support of the Italian Government.


Position:


The Operational Readiness Delivery Coordinator role exists to support the Head of Operational Readiness and MOC in delivering operational readiness exercises program for MiCo26.


This position plays a crucial role in coordinating and managing various activities, such as review of Policies and Procedures and Contingency Plans, organisation of Table Tops and Simulations and the implementation of the Main Operations Center (MOC).


The main accountabilities include:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of the Operational Readiness program plan.
  • Coordinate with various functional areas to ensure integrated planning and readiness activities.
  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, and resources to ensure milestones are met.
  • Support the design, development, and execution of exercising activities.
  • Support the establishment and operation of the Main Operations Centre (MOC) and other control centers.
  • Maintain effective communication and coordination among all stakeholders, including delivery partners and Games stakeholders.
  • Assist in identifying and managing risks related to operational readiness.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Project Management, Event Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 35 years of experience in project management, preferably in a largescale event management or operational readiness role.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Motivated to learn
  • Proactive in flagging problems and proposing solutions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SharePoint, and Smartsheet.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
